Summary: The breakfast was edible at best. I can handle the reconstituted scrambled eggs, but the previously fried and rewarmed eggs were like hockey pucks. Also, the waffle maker was about impossible to flip over. As far as the room goes - the bed was really hard. Probably more of a personal preference but it felt like I was sleeping on a slab of lumber. The room was rather cold, even though we turned up the thermostat. Anywhere by the window was very cold and there were no extra blankets in the room. Hotels usually have at least one in the closet. The coffee in the room was terrible. I took 1 sip and dumped the rest. And finally, I'm not sure how often they change out the bathroom "amenities", but there was a makeup removal cloth there that I opened and used one evening. As I was wiping it on my face I realised it was so old that it literally smelled like vomit. Took me forever with hot water and soap to wash that off my face and hands. Truly disgusting. All in all I was quite disappointed. We've stayed at La Quinta Inns before and were pleased but it will be a long time before we return.
